Hi.
As the title suggests, I've forgotten the password to access the NAC manager console on our Sophos server! Many months ago it was set up but we've never gotten round to configuring it. At some point we must have added a password as from what I've read the system prompts you to set on up the first time you use it!! Anyway, I've read various posts all over the internet about how to go about either resetting the NAC password or removing it completely before reinstalling it. The latter includes mentions of SQL databases that need stripping out amongst other things. The problem I have though is that none of it is working so far! I've completely removed it three times now and each time when I've reinstalled it the **bleep** thing seems to be picking up the old account/security settings from somewhere (I don't get prompted to create a new password). For the life of me I can't think where it's getting this information from though! Short of flattening the server and starting again (which I really don't want to do if possible) I've run out of ideas so I thought I'd post something on here to see if anyone else has had a similar problem and managed to resolve it!
For info: Sophos runs on a Windows 2003 server with SQL 2005 Express; I've installed Management Studio Express to manage the SQL side of things; We're running Sophos 9.7, Enterprise Console 4.7.0.13, and NAC v3.7.
Thanks in advance!
Si
