Scan exclusion of a folder that changes according to the installed software version

Hi all,

I need to exclude the folder D:\jboss-<version> from on-access scanning.

Problem is that if an update of jboss is installed, the foldername changes according to the installed version.

I can't use a wildcard in the folder exclusion and i don't want to exclude the whole drive d:\.

Anyone an idea how to handle this?

Hello shawn_38, won't ask why given I've ranted very recently ;-). Any chance you can relocate the jboss folder so it isn't under the drive's root? Christian

thanks for your reply.
Unfortunately this is no option for us, because it affects an critical aplication and it's not just one server. There are dozens of servers.

Hello Sven,
vital folders which use to change names are a PITA (especially when they are in a volume's root).
Thinking about it - as it is only one change which has to be done at install/upgrade time, why bother with wildcards instead of just adding the new name?
