We're running Enterprise Console 4.5 and SAV 9.5.5.
We've been having problems with the Task Scheduler. In particular, I can't get it to function correctly with the client software on a Windows 2008 Server Standard SP2 (32-bit) box (which is also the box that Enterprise Console runs on). When the task runs, we get a 0x1 message for a result, and the system does not perform the scan.
I've tried creating other tasks, but they don't seem to be running either. There isn't much on the Microsoft Knowledgebase or other places on it, except in the context of backups, which is not the problem here.
Another thing I notice is that when the task is executed from the Task Scheduler, the SAVService does not kick in, even though the Status shows "Running." But, when I execute a scan from the Endpoint Security and Control client, the SAVService kicks in about 50% of the CPU and it shows the scan to be running in the left side information container.
So, it looks to me like the Scheduled Task is completely disconnected from the system, even though it does come across from the Enterprise Console.
I'm just trying to get SAV to do it's scan on a regular scheduled basis.
Any ideas on how to track down the Task Scheduler bug and kill it?
