Console and SUM

Hi,

Console says that my SUM is not up to date (since february 19). If I try modify the settings/sources it says that it can't join Sophos ( something like "Could not contact the server. Check that the details are correct, and that there is not a problem with the network", my system is in French). I made some test and I can join Sophos update servers (dci.sophosupd.com, d1.sophosupd.com, d2.sophosupd.com, and some others) with IExplore.

When I look into the SUM folder (C:\ProgramData\Sophos\Update Manager\Update Manager\CIDs\S000\SAVSCFXP\savxp) some upd/ide files have been created today (and yesterday, etc.). So the SUM seems to work fine for now.

I tried to install a new SUM on another server but it didn't showed up in the console...

I tried to fix the console with the repair option of the installer, the process finish with no error but still can't connect to Sophos and still says that SUM is not up to date. SUM in installed on the same server.

Server: Windows Server 2008

Console : 9.5 (4.5.1)

It is like this thread Not-allowing-to-get-in-Sophos-Download but in my case, the console and SUM were working fine for several months before the february 19.

I tried adding the reg key for enabling logon telnet with SUM but I can't connect : "Failed to authenticate socket!"

Some advices ?

    is it a 64bit OS? If so, then the key should be [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432node\Sophos\UpdateManager\Security].

    That's what it says in the dashboard? In the Update managers view - what are the contents of the columns (Alerts, Errors, ..., Version, ...) and what does it say in View Update Manager Details? BTW: If you set your locale to English before starting the console it will display the messages in English.

    What did you modify? Guess it originally had Sophos as the source. It's strange as you say it seems to be updating.
