Issue connecting to RDP session over a VPN

Hi

We currently access applications off site using Microsoft Forefront Unified Gateway to our terminal server onsite.  The problem is when offsite we click one of the applications offered in TS webaccess, an error occurs stating that you are unable to connect to the remote computer.  Also if I try the same thing onsite it works.   If I remove sophos from the PC and try again it is able to connect offsite.  Sophos is managed via the enterprise console and only ant-virus / spyware enabled.  Could anyone please advise me on why this is happening and what I need to do.

  • Hi Coreyvon

Do you have any more information regarding the console.

What version the console is, what version are the desktops,

    Is Behavioural scannig enabled?

    Live Protection Enabled?
    Web Scanning Enabled?

What OS are you using (Does it happen on eveyrone or only specific OS's)

Is there anything in the quarantine?

    Any alerts in the logs?

If you try stop the services is it allowed then, or is it when you fully uninstall it only does it work?

Hope we can help, but lets start with the above. :)

  • Hi

I have tried disabling live protection, scanning etc, but if I stop all the Sophos services (services.msc), it works, or if I remove Sophos it also works.  The operating system is Windows 7 32bit Enterprise.  Also there are no alert logs.

  • It must be one of the components then.

Under the Anti-Virus | Authorizatoin section, try add the web site if it is a website, or the application if it is an application.

Alternatively, speak to Sophos Support. They are very helpfully and fast to resolve queries.

    Kind reagrds
