EC 4.7 won't update binaries

Hi

as title suggests binaries are no longer updating.  slight conincidence is some updates were installed at the same time time but i have removed them.

i have performed the steps of removing the working and warehouse data but it hasn't worked.

i don't think my EC can see sophos though as when i go to edit the sources update account in sophos i get the error it can't and times out

so i just need to know what should i do, as i have uninstalled windows updates (server 2008) and cleared the working and warehouse folders to no avail.

i have read on the website not to reinstall, i could upgrade ec?

    Hello spenad,

    I'm not sure I understand you correctly. There's Downloading binaries in the Download status column and Threat detection data update failed and/or Software update failed under Errors (or on the Details page). Guess it's no longer updating at all, right?

    Are you able to access the update sites (please see this article for details)?  If you can and it still doesn't work go to Edit Source once more. After it has reported the error please check the newest SUMTracexx...xx.log (it's in %ProgramData%\Sophos\Update Manager\Logs). You attempt should have created a number of lines, many of them containing CheckWarehouseAction . If nothing you find makes sense to you please try to post the block between ...CreateObject <Action><ID>CheckWarehouseAction ... and ...DeleteObject CheckWarehouseAction .... Maybe this gives a hint.
