Email alerts not working

Hi,

We're having some trouble with the email notifications on SEC4.5. They are not being sent/received.

Our individual AV policies have been configured to send out notifications of alerts via the Email Alerting tab. We have two group mailboxes configured as recipients. Our SMTP server has been added but when the Test button is pressed we receive this message;

"An SMTP protocol error prevented a connection from being established."

Port 25 is allowed.

Clients are Windows XP SP3 running SAV 9.5.5. The SEC is running on Win2k8.

Any ideas?
