Scheduling updates via Microsoft domain policies

Hi to all,

I'm wondering how it is possible to customize SAV updates on a computer by using AD domain policies.

I need to set up a night-only update on a group of computers on my domain.

Hello D.,

just curious why it is necessary to restrict updating (I know of this requirement on special purpose machines but in most cases I've also wondered why they aren't taken off-net while performing their critical tasks).
Anyway - you'd assign a policy with automatic updating turned off. Please see http://www.sophos.com/support/knowledgebase/article/36262.html on how to trigger an update then.
