Website Redirect

I have a recent problem on my HP laptop that redirects my browser to other sites when I click on links from a Yahoo or Google search.  I usually right click, and open the links in a new tab.  On the first attempt, this causes a new window to open (instead of a new tab) and the browser has been redirected to another site.  The second attempt opens a new tab but it is redirected to another site.  The third attempt usually opens the correct link in the new tab.

I ran a scan and a few files were quarantined.  I performed the clean up option but the redirects continue.  A second scan did not find any threats to quarantine, but there were 11 errors with the same code, I listed some of them below.

Scanning "C:\Windows\System32\drivers\sptd.sys" returned SAV Interface error 0xa0040210: The file could not be accessed.

Scanning "C:\User\Chris\AppData\Local\Temp\hsperfdata_Chris\5652" returned SAV Interface error 0xa0040210: The file could not be accessed.

I need some help on how to rid my computer of this issue.

  • I ran Autoruns.exe and saved the output as suggested.  The output text is about 55,000 characters which exceeds the limit of 20,000 characters for a post in this forum.  Do I need to try and post all of it?
