Upset about Sophos Update politics

hi,

i have to say, that i'm currently very upset with sophos update policy. First of all, there are problems with windows 8 / 8.1 which were fixed in february, but sophos does not deliver the necessary updates to the paying customers (small business license). then, they said april for the 10.3.7 and now it's mid to end may, and 10.3.7 is nowhere to be seen.

Also a complain about the small business "license". i can understand, that sophos wants to distinguish between different paying tiers. but the thing is, if there is a problem, and it gets fixed by sophos (windows 8 / 8.1 problem) then it has to be delivered to every paying customer, not only to the customers with higher license. so the best would be, that sophos allows again the recommended and preview for every customer, but only older versions to the customers with the higer licenses.

i know this forum is not closly monitored by sophos guys, but i wanted to get my rising frustration out somewhere.

greets

georg

  • Georg,

All customers will get product fixes, however, you are correct in stating that some customers get them sooner than others, this is  due to the fact that they have access to the "Preview" subscription into which new features and some fixes might go first before being rolled out to the Recommended subscription. If there were a critical fix or vulnerability we would address this across the subscriptions as quickly as possible in most cases, there are occaisions where we wouldn't do this but they are rare.

We have almost completed the delayed rol lout out now and I would hope that you will have access to all you need before the end of this month.
