I am working on an enterprise Windows domain and am using the Sophos Enterprise Console v 5.1.0.1839. By no means am I an expert with this as I have only recently installed it and begun rolling out clients. But I am writing today because after 3 attempts to contact support, and a grand total of 110 minutes on hold waiting for a tech to pick up, I thought I'd see if I could get this figured out here.
Upon installing the EC in the beginning, I had it scan Active Directory for all the computers. It found them all, of course. I have successfully rolled out quite a few clients. But what I am finding is that when I add a new PC to the network, the EC does not allow me to roll out the Sophos client. Here's what I am doing...
Build the new PC and join the domain. In the EC, I run "Discover Computers" and select "Discover with Active Directory". That WORKS and the newly joined PC does show up in the list of computers in the EC. But it is grayed out and I cannot run the "Protect Computers" installation wizard on it because upon right-clicking, the wizard is grayed out as well.
Why? Help! Thanks!
