SEC installation language

I've windows 2003 english and italian regional settings.

I would like to setup SEC in english, but I cannot choose language during setup and setup automatically choose italian.

How can I install SEC in english?

How can I change SEC language when it's already installed?

Thanks in advance.

  • Hi,

You could always try switching the resource files.  In the SEC install directory there are RS<lan>.dll files.

    E.g.

    RsDeu.dll, RSEng.dll, RsEsp.dll, etc..

If you have SEC in English and want it in Italian for example, you could:

    1. Close SEC.

    2. Rename RSEng.dll to RSEng.dll.old

    3. Copy RsIta.dll to RSEng.dll

    4. Launch SEC.

You can always revert RSEng.dll.old to RSEng.dll when done.

A bit of a hack but it could get you what you're after.

    Thanks,

    Jak
