Can't protect Windows 7 64 sp1 machines with enterprise console

Hello,

Got an annoying on going problem with sophos. I've installed Enterprise console 4.7.0.13 and followed the instructions to created the group and get the updates, which has worked so far. The part I'm stuck with is deploying sophos to, or protecting the client computers.

In the guide I am following it says to click on "find new computers", and then "find on the network" and then enter valid credentials. I do this and it only finds maybe 6 out of the hundred or so pcs (credentials I am using are valid for all pcs). Even with these ones that it finds using the "find on the network" method, when I drag that into the group container that I've made previously and go through the protect wizard, it doesn't work and if I check the computer details it has the following installation error at the bottom:

Code: 0000002e Description: The installation did not start. The computer may have been shutdown, renamed, or disconnected, or a required service may not be running. It may be running windows xp home or windows vista.

The only thing that that could possibly be true in regards to what the above error suggests may be wrong is that a required service may not be running, but I have no idea which and I have not altered the pc images in such a way to stop services running.

I have also tried finding new computers using the "find with ad" option. This gives me all the computers (since I guess it is just fetching the information from ad and is not actually networking to them), but again I get axactly the same thing when I try to protect them, with the same error as above.

I am guessing this is a connectivity problem, the server that Enterprise console is installed on is Windows Server 2008 R2, I've allowed RDP through the firewall but I can't see what else to do here to get these pc's properly connected. It may not be anything to do with the firewall though, that's just my guess.

Can anyone help?

Thanks.
