Sophos Detection of Rogue Machines

Does Sophos have a way to notify and report on machines that it discovers that are not part of Sophos?

For example, McAfee has the rogue system dectection feature, but I can't find a way to do it with Sophos.

  • I'm not aware that Sophos has something like that in the portfolio. A quick glance suggests that while it sounds impressive it's "just" monitoring broadcasts and comparing the MAC-address with those of the known clients (that's not to deride McAfee). After detecting this rogue clients you have to take some remediation action anyway. As "network" is also usually eager not to let rogue clients in, NAC (in general, not only the Sophos feature/product) is a regularly used method to "rein in" clients.
