New IPADS in the office

I was wondering, if someone plugs in an IPAD into the computer will Sophos Anti-Virus scanner protect the computer and connected network from anything on the IPAD?

Will there be a possibility of something running on the IPAD connecting through the link and or Itunes that will steal information from our computers or Network?

We use the on access scannning for both read and write on the computers.

    That is a great question. Our company has photography clients that need to connect to our network and I had a similar concern. You never know what type of environment people are bring in there ipads from and who knows what could be on them.
