First post on this forum so go easy on me if I am breaking etiquette in some way.
We use Sophos Endpoint and are now thinking about using the Application Control feature.
I understand it can be used to block applications on run. What I don't know is does it stop an application from being installed in the first place. Question : does it stop a user from installing an application.
The question arises because all our users are Domain Users and in most cases do not have permissions to install applications. There are some exceptions. For instance Google Chrome can be installed to the user profile directory without elevated privileges.
