Sopohs Endpoint hangs on opening on same serfver as Enterprise Console

Hi

Got a notificiation that Sophos Endpoint v10.0 on the server that runs Enterprise Console v5.0.0.8 had not updated. When trying to open Sophos Endpoint it hangs for hours and does not open.Enterprise Console seems to be working OK in itself.

I can update the serfver from EC, but still cannot openEndpoint on it.

Can anyone assist in opening Endpoint?

    Hello Lewej,

    did you reboot the server (or can you do so)? You say that it is now claiming to be up to date? Do you open the GUI using the icon (i.e. is the icon in the notification area and responsive)? Opening the GUI means starting SAVMain.exe - is it running (under your user context) and if, are there any anomalies (like high CPU usage)?

    Thank you for your response.

    A reboot is difficult as production server. However I am gald to say it seems to have resolved itslef. I can now open Endpoint in good time, and the EC has no notifications.

    I did check out CPU and resource usage, but could not see anything amiss.

    Very strange but now happy
