Conflict between Sophos Endpoint Security and Control and Symantec Backup Exec 10d job log xml

We have resolved an issue regarding xml files that could not be displayed in Backup Exec 10d Job Log.

Problem was related by the installation of Sophos Antivirus 9.5 which installed the last version of MSXML4.DLL SP3 (4.30.2100.0). This version was not compatible with Backup Exec 10d.

We have replaced the file with this one: MSXML4.DLL SP2 (4.20.9839.0) see KB925672-enu.exe from Microsoft and now Backup Exec 10d works very well like before and we can see all log files. Sophos works well with MSXML4.DLL SP2.
