Sophos Update Manager (SUM) Password

Is there a way to test to make sure I have the correct SUM password? I fear I may not have the correct one and do not want to move to a new server before I know I have it.

    Hello Jerry,

    if you're not going to use your existing database (in which case the updating policies using the SUM account would have the old password) you just create the account on the new server with whatever password is acceptable - enter the credentials in the setup window and the installer will take care of the rest.
