Sophos Update Manager (SUM) Password

Is there a way to test to make sure I have the correct SUM password? I fear I may not have the correct one and do not want to move to a new server before I know I have it.

    Hello Jerry,

    system.xml is created by the SEC installer, article 63186 lists where it should be found.

    ObfuscationUtil.exe outputs an obfuscated string. You copy this string to replace the one bewtween

    <Password obfuscated="true"> and </Password> in the xml file.

    Before you do so - do you really want/need to change the SUM password?
