Sophos Update Manager (SUM) Password

Is there a way to test to make sure I have the correct SUM password? I fear I may not have the correct one and do not want to move to a new server before I know I have it.

    Hi Christian,

    Did you mean access from another machine using say Remote Desktop? If I do a new install of Sophos on another exisiting server, will this create a new SUM password? If not can I reset the SophosUpdateMgr account (local machine user account) through Users and Groups on the existing server?
