Password of sophos account change

Hi,

I  change my sophos account password , my sophos console did not start error:logon failure in the database.

Can any one help me?

    HI,

    2 options:

    1. Re-Run the installer, e.g. C:\sec_51\ServerInstaller\setup.exe

    This will perform a modify, you will be asked the details of the account again.

    2. Use obfuscationutil.exe (http://www.sophos.com/en-us/support/knowledgebase/13094.aspx) to generate you a new obfuscated string to put in the registry key:

    • 64-bit server: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Sophos\EE\Management Tools\DatabaseUser\
    • 34-bit server: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sophos\EE\Management Tools\DatabaseUser\

    inplace of the now incorrect password.  Remember to use the -w switch.

    You will also need to set the new password in the services that logon as the account.  E.g. Patch services and the host service.
