How do I find the SophosUpdateMgr password?

I'm brand spanking new to Sophos and I am trying to create an batch file using the command line switches outlined in the kb article 12570.  When I installed Sophos Enterprise console, the SophosUpdateMgr user was created automatically by the installation package, so I have no clue what the password is.  So, when I go to put in the credentials for the script, I have no way of knowing what the password is for the SophosUpdateMgr account.

What am I missing here?

  • Also note that the account that you refer to is just there as a convenient default.

If you want to do things manually with a batch file then you can use any account that has access to the update location. There is nothing to stop you adding another account to the share.
