Application not blocked

Hello,

I'm testing application control and blocked Winrar. I installed it on a machine and launched it, it still works. When I launch a scan on the machine, it sees that winrar is installed and on the list of blocked apps, but after that I can still launch WInrar. Am I forgetting something?

    From the settings I expect it to get blocked. Just tested it and version 4.00 is not detected but the 3.91 unplugged is. 4.00 final is available since early March (the Beta in November 2010) but I can't say when Sophos updates the detections for already controlled applications. You might want to submit an application control request (as you are trying out all the features of Sophos you shouldn't miss out on this one :smileywink:).

    As I said - a common browser is a better choice for initial tests ... :smileyvery-happy:
