Cannot change update settings

Hi,

for a notebook that sometimes will be used outdoors I need to change the update settings (remove the proxy for the 2nd update server). But I don't have access to do this. How can I do this?

    Hello Jo,

    a local admin can modify iconn.cfg in ...\Sophos\AutoUpdate\Config\ (under %ProgramData% for Vista and above, %ProgramFiles% otherwise). Set AllowLocalConfig = 1 in the appropriate section, this should enable changes via the GUI.

    Note that the client is shown as non-compliant next time it contacts SEC and that under certain circumstances SEC will override the changes.
