Is Sophos compatible with WLM?

I recently downloaded Sophos anti-virus and experienced immediate problems with my windows live mail. I can receive, view, and delete messages, but shortly after opening a new message or trying to reply to one, the program automatically shuts down and restarts. Has anyone else experienced this and found a solution?

    HI,

    Works ok for me and I've been using WLM for years with SAV.  I'm currently on Version 2011 (Build 15.4.3508.1109).

    You could try disabling a few parts of SAV to see what helps if anything.

    I would start by disabling on-access scanning as a test.  Then move on to detours, then maybe the web protection feature.


    Some info here:

    Isolating the component that causes the problem will helpful for understanding the nature of the problem.
