Buffer overflow protection disabled message

Several of our systems show an error. When I open each one under Outstanding alerts and errors, there is this message:

Code a050000d

Buffer overflow detection is disabled because of a configuration error

There is no further information. When I click the link it takes me to a KB article that talks about registry locations for BOPS. We made no changes to anyone's registry. Does anyone have more info on this or how it's fixed?

Just checking: does the error code end in a 'd' or a 'c'? Can you screenshot the error and attach it in a post?

You don't say which article you looked at so I don't know if it's the same one or not.
