Device Control PurgeDB error code

It is case sensitve, it is very powerfull and if used incorrectly could purge the entire database.

I think you might be looking for a command like:

purgedb.exe -action=delete -category=events -HistoryLengthInDays=60 -type=DeviceControl

Thanks for the reply, does device control have more specific error code to purge like other error such autoupdate error code 103?.

You can specify certain error codes, if you check out the sophos website and search for purdgedb or run the help file, it will tell you more details on how to clear a specific error code. 

Remember to do a backup first. But it might be worth while to investigate why the error code is happening and resolve it permanently instead of a reactive clear the alert option.
