Sophos Protection Not Auto Updating!

My Sophos Endpoint security and data protection isnt auto updating when it should i check if it allow auto update and it is checked, so i dont know what the problem is that the auto update wont update my sophos, it usually update each day when i turn on my computer the first time. and now i have to manually update it by right clicking it with my mouse and clicking update now!

    HI,

    Is the same time displayed in SAV if you open the SAV main interface?

    The time displayed on mouseover of the shield icon (by the clock) and the one displayed in the status area (top left) of SAV and the one displayed under "Help" - "About Sophos Endpoint Security and Control" (as accessed from SAV) should be the same.  This should be the the last time AutoUpdate checked for an update.  

    The only other time displayed is under the "View product information" screen as lauched from the main SAV interface.  If you expand the "Software" section under "Anti-virus andHIPS", the "Last updated" time there is different and is the actual time when SAV was updated.

    Do these report the same old time and date?  I just want to rule out the component reporting it wrong.

    The next step is to see if it actually updating as the config looks ok, updating every 3 hours.  To do that I would suggest looking in the logs:

    \documents and settings\all users\application data\Sophos\AutoUpdate\Logs\

    If you open the most recently modified ALUpdate[timestamp].log, you can see where AutoUpdate starts an update and ends one:  I'd recommend searching from the bottom up for the text:

    ALUpdate started:

    Manual updates will have:
    ALUpdate started: -ManualUpdate

    Scheduled ones will have:
    ALUpdate started: -ScheduledUpdate

    Does this log backup the theory that is really isn't doing a scheduled update every 3 hours? If so does it even log anything at the expected interval?
