  • Hi,

    Maybe an odd question to start but how do you know it's not updating?  Is this from looking at the logs?

    From your post it suggests that as the machine starts up, the AutoUpdate service starts and shortly after it kicks off the process Alupdate.exe to perform the first update but after that, it doesn't keep doing so in line with the interval?

    \ProgramData\Sophos\AutoUpdate\Config\isched.cfg
    Is the file that essentially holds the config and should have something like:

    SchedEnable = 1
    Frequency = 60

    So as long as the AutoUpdate service is running it should be ok.

    Does the AutoUpdate trace log (\ProgramData\Sophos\AutoUpdate\Logs\ALUpdate[timestamp].log) show any errors at the scheduled interval?

    Note, the above paths are for Vista, "\documents and settings\all users\application data\sophos\" should be checked otherwise.
