Enterprise Console, Sophos 9 and Windows 7

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has had any problems rolling out Sophos 9 to Windows 7 machines via the Enterprise console.

Currently, I'm in testing mode and trying to roll out v9 to Win7 and receive this message in the console: The applied software subscription does not contain software this computer can use.

I've got Sophos 7.6 installed on Win7 with no problems.This was a manual install.

Any ideas? Or will I have to do the update on the Win7 machines manually.

    Sounds like the subscription does not contain SAV9.x. Check which subscription is used by the updating policy for the group the Win7 machines belong to and then do a View->Bootstrap Locations ... in SEC to see the version contained.

    Thanks for the reply.

    Under Bootstrap Locations is see the below:

    Software subscription: Recommemded

    Location: \\Sophos\SophosUpdate\CIDs\S000\savscfxp

    Platforms: Windows 2000 and above

    Version: 9.0.5.9

    The funny thing is after about an hour of posting this message, I has able to update those machines.

    Then when I added some more Win7 machines, it took a while for that error message I was getting to disappear and allow me to update them.

    I hope that makes sense.
