Install to a different directory? (Deep Freeze in place)

For reasons due to deep freeze software that would prevent updates from sticking is it possible to install to a non standard directory using the command line switches?

I searched briefly but was not able to find this query but if it has been made I apologize in advance.

Does anyone use Sophos Endpoint and a Deep Freeze type solution and are able to update virus signatures?

If so please give me details on how you achieved this.

We had DeepFreeze for years, but decided to not install SAV at all. We are now in the process of replacing all these machines with our standard image and SAV loaded.
I was reading that certain DeepFreeze versions (4.20.020.0598, 4.20.120.0598, 4.20.121.0613, 5.20.220.1125 and 5.30.120.1181) can be disabled by skilled students using OllyDbg! Check this link http://www.ethicalhacker.net/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,49/topic,658.0

Has anyone here done this before? It looks like it should be a good solution, but I am leary of using an unsupporting program to create a link in Windows without community support behind it too.
