Data Control : Internet Explorer Favorites : Transfer Request Blocked

Sophos Data Control Alert

I have setup Data Controls and whenever a User tries to use his IE8 favoritves he gets an alert.

.

I am trying to protect files from being moved, but this seems like a bug to me

How do I stop this from happening?

Transferring a file should not be the same thing as selecting the Favorites tool bar to click on a link you have there.

I did not realize that the favicon jump in IE was an image. Thanks for the reply

    .

I removed the IMAGE File Type

and that did take care of the IE Favorite Links

    .

Now I assume I will have to create another Rule but have to adjust:  File NAME

... In here I would have to put every *.??? extension that I can come up with from our data file server

it is a Temporary adjustment hopefully

    .

Will Sophos identify this 'bug' and deal with it as it deals with other Data Control issues ?

(i guess this could be a loaded question :smileysurprised:)

I should ask ... will this problem with the IE favorites be identified as a problem and remedied?

If not then no one will be using IMAGE file type for Data Control
