EM console shows updating error / Error 4081 showing in sophos Em library eventlog

Goodday,

We are using

Sophos Em Library 1.3.2

Sophos Enterprise Console 3.0

We are downloading on a regular base the sophos updates. Since last week the up to date column in Sophos enterprise console shows for every client "Not Since 9/21/2010 ....". I think this is indicating that the clients won't update.

The event log is showing these errors:

Event Type: Warning

Event Category: Deploy
Event ID: 4081
Date:  9/27/2010
Time:  11:38:51 AM

Description:
The "\\Server\SophosEM" library deploy task has succeeded, but there were exceptions
 that might require further attention.

The package for central installation "\\Server\InterChk\ESXP" has not been downloaded.
The CID has not been updated.

I tried several solutions from the sophos site:

http://www.sophos.com/support/knowledgebase/article/40952.html

http://www.sophos.com/support/knowledgebase/article/47152.html

But both didn't solve my problem.

Does anybody has a solution for me?

Regards,

Peter

  • Hi Peter,

What seemed to go wrong when you added your first post? Is that why you switched accounts to add the second post? Tell me what you saw, and I'll try to track down the issue and find a solution.

I'm glad to see you got a solution to your EC problem. If QC's post contained the fix you needed, why not mark it an Accepted Solution? That will make it easier to find for other community members,

    More later, hopefully.

    Thanks,
