SophosUpdateMgr Account Lockdown

Hi,

I have an issue with the Update Account which constantly locks down.

Recently we migrated the Sophos Enterprise Console 5 to a new Server following the gude for migration from the knowledgebase.

After the migration we started pointing the devices to the new server using the vbs script, but only for the hosts. For the servers we were using the autoupdate setup. As it turns out the account constantly locks down from the servers.

Also I tried to protect the devices but the device status in the console stays with the sandclock status.

Any Help is greatly appreciated.

  • Hello bmandilov,

trying to understand your isuue: The SophosUpdateMgr account gets locked out (disabled) because your servers try to access the update location using an invald password? Is the account a domain or a local account? Did you assign a new password during migration? Also - did you change the name of your management server?
What exactly did you do on your servers? Sounds like they are trying to access the CID using the okd credentials.

If protect doesn't work you could browse to the CID manually from the servers (how many?) and just run setup manually,
