Do SID's have any role in AV updating?

We've surely got some duplicate SID's out there and we've also got some updating issues. I don't know if the two are related or even could be related.

I am aware that changing the SID after Sophos is installed will trash the rights for accessing the GUI but this isn't about that.

    since I updated to the latest version of Sophos (v97), I am currently hosting multiple SIDs and have no experienced any major issues.

    As long as your update policies and subscriptions are all in order everything should function normally.

    not sure if this helps any, but I thought I would mention it anyway...
