exclude all jar file from scanning on mac

how do I exclude all jar files from being scanned on macs? can i just do *.jar?

or do i need to specify path?

you'll find the syntax and examples on pp. 8 and 9 of the Sophos Anti-Virus for Mac OS X Help.
But you should better think twice though before unconditionally excluding all *.jar files ...
