Migrate or Upgrade first?

Hi,

I'm use Enterprise Console v 3.1, clients 7.6. I must upgrade. I'am planing install new console (v4.5) on a new server. Is there a plan for migration from one server with console v3.1 to another with console v4.5?

    As a quick summary:

    It's far easier to migrate the SEC 3 install to the new server and then upgrade, as opposed to upgrading and moving either SEC4 or SEC 4.5.

    Essentially the most important thing you need to do is back up the certauthstore registry key on your SEC 3 server and restore this into the registry on the new server.  Remembering to compensate for the wow6432node if you're migrating to 64-bit machine from 32 otherwise when the installer runs it will not find the original certificates.  Failing to do this will result in all clients having incompatible certificates.
