Support for Win2K8 R2 Datacenter Edition...

I've just been told, by a support guy at Sophos, that Sophos doesn't support the above version of Windows yet and that it "might" get supported in an update due this month "perhaps"!?

All the advertising and technical specs state that Win2K8 is supported. No mention that there is no support for R2 or Datacenter Edition.

Is anybody else having problems with this?

Hello,

SEC4.0 is not supported on R2 and Datacenter editions (see System requirements for Enterprise Console (inc. integrated Sophos NAC). R2 will be supported in the upcoming 4.5 version but the preliminary doc doesn't mention the Datacenter edition. Guess the SAV component is supported on all platforms.

This month is still four weeks but I wouldn't bet on it.

Just passing the reply I got on the Beta forum:

I checked with our Product Management team and am told that SEC 4.5 will Support W2008 R2 Datacenter edition [BetaKim]
