IP Block Lists - CBL, Spamhaus, etc

Hi, first time poster. Recently purchased and installed Endpoint but our IP keeps coming up on blocklists like CBL and Spamhaus. As quick as we remove the IP it gets relisted. We've run Sophos and Unhackme scans seemingly to no avail.

Can anyone offer any advice? NB we are not IT savvy, we are event producers...

Cheers

Mike

  • Hello Mike,

looking into CBL and SpamRATS I'm not sure what the underlying problem is. CBL claims excessive connections to a server with address 203.146.249.65 and the listing on SpamRATS suggests a similar reason (and in addition a missing reverse lookup for your 165.228.122.16) . The listing in Spamhaus is "just" the consequence of the SpamRATS listing.

It looks like there's indeed some rogue activity "behind" 165.228.122.16 - did you scan only for malware or PUAs as well?

Without details it's hard to say where to look next. As your IP is provided by Telstra I assume this is a broadband connection with a local network behind it.
