Changing client from trent to sophos

Hi,

Running AVRemove.exe -L will confirm what software is currently detected the intergrated CRT.

Note: AVRemove.exe can be found in the CID (SophosUpdate share on the server), under the CRT sub dir of the Windows package.  You could copy this CRT directory to a test client.

Otherwise, as most software is MSI based these days, you should be able to look for the "UninstallString " string in the registry under:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{GUID|ProductName}

Where you should be able to find the Trend package GUID  or productName under Uninstall.

You should then hopefully be able to pass aditional switches to make it silent:

Maybe this could be used in a deployment script of SAV (see: http://www.sophos.com/en-us/support/knowledgebase/12570.aspx and http://www.sophos.com/en-us/support/knowledgebase/13090.aspx for info around this ).

The next question would be if the computer needs a reboot between uninstalling Trend in this case and installing Sophos.  You'll have to test this to see if you can do it in one go.
