HELP Sophos update to V10 has failed stopping all emails

We have an issue where we have lost SMTP server due to the latest automatic Sophos to Product version 10.0

We now have no server and hundreds of emails queuing up!

    its the Sophos Antivirus service which has stopped and ALL emails have been queued

    Do you have some mail scanning software, such as PureMessage for Exchange, is it set to "on scanner error" not deliver?  I.e. it needs to scan it otherwise it stays queued?  I guess if this is the case, you could choose to change this if people are desperate for emails but obviously there are risks to this as you'd be relying on the endpoint to catch anything that got through.

    To get SAV running quickly you'll either need to troubleshoot why SAV is broken (I would suggest getting Support involved as time is of the essence) or just go for a rip, reboot reinstall if that's quicker.
