Problem with OS when installing SEC 5.1

I get the following error when I attempt to install a remote console on my Windows 7 laptop:

Sophos Enterprise Console needs Service Pack 2 for Windows Vista. Please install it before continuing.

My laptop is running Microsoft Windows 7 Professional - Service Pack 1 - x86 32bit. The knowledgebase article for this error is not very helpful. It seems the console installer has a problem recognizing my OS. Any ideas on how to get past this fatal error and get a remote console running?

Did you find any solution to this. I'm trying to install on one of our helpdesk PC's but despite being Windows 7, it's asking for Vista service pack 2.
