Upgrade from SEC3 to 4.5 and move DB to SQL 2008

We are looking to upgrade from v3 to v4.5 as well as move the DB to our SQL 2008 server. What is the best route to follow? in place upgrade and then move the DB?

Hello,

SQL Server 2008 isn't supported by SEC3. So if you can upgrade on the existing server I'd do so. If you haven't done already visit the Version 9.5 Upgrade Center. How to move the database is described in this article.
