WebCID & Static Username

Hello,

How can I set static usename and password for each employers using Sophos WebCID and IIS?

Sophos Enterprise Console return only one username and if I want cancle employer username, I have a problem.

    Hello k3i1kp,

    so you are worried that employees will continue to use Sophos after they have left? Or is it something else you want to achieve?

    In our security policy plan we have not allow to them to use this service or another when they left!

    I see - so you are permitting home use (or them using their own devices)?

    If you can't enforce removal of Sophos when they leave (which would be the best way) there are several options:

    • Make the WebCID only accessible from your internal network (works if you can provide VPN access)
    • Configure the installer (and/or CID) so that the users are able to edit the update configuration (where they'd have to enter their personal credentials). One drawback is that the devices would appear as "differs from policy" (if you are in fact managing them).  Another that users could copy the "business" configuration and continue to use Sophos (which would call for some "criminal intent"). In addition if you require passwords to be changed regularly users must have the means to do so when they are off-site and the update fails for this reason
    • Kind of synthesis of the above: Require a proxy for access to the WebCID, use a configuration which permits the users to specify the proxy details

    which accounting software? I fear I don't get it how this relates to the WebCID credentials. Could you please explain in detail?
