What happens when I change the IP address of the Enterprise Server?

Hello,

I have been tasked to complete a Sophos rollout.  The Enterprise console and server were already setup when I came to the table, however the server was never given a static IP address.  For now, I've created a reservation in DHCP so the server's IP sill stay the same, but I would like to change it to the server IP block.

Has anyone ever changed the IP address of the server?  Hopefully the clients communicate via DNS to find the server.  I'll probably just wing it next week sometime, I mean what's the worst that can happen, I change the IP back to dynamic.

It would be nice to know if anyone has done this before, or if IP really matters and I can just make sure DNS is up to date.  There are roughly 500 clients already rolled out...

    Please things went well. This firewall issues caught me out at first but relised it when everything else working inside the fire wall. I did forget to mention to ensure that you may also need to enable the prts that the Message Router uses, but as everything is ok, looks like you have done this. Pleased I could help.
