Is any one else seing this alert - Shh/Updater-B False positives

Virus/spyware 'Shh/Updater-B' has been detected in "C:\Program Files\Sophos\Sophos Anti-Virus\Web Intelligence\swi_update.exe". Cleanup unavailable. This is trickling in as alerts but at an alarming rate.

  • Believe it or not, every last AV provider has had this screw up and some of them have been considerably worse than this.  If a false positive has you in such a twist maybe you should stay clear of antivirus as a whole.  Not to say this isn't a pain and it is certainly inconveniant but it certainly didn't remove my user32.dll, svchost.exe, Pegasus Mail, or Google Chrome to name a few screw ups from some of the other major vendors that come to mind.
