Is any one else seing this alert - Shh/Updater-B False positives

Virus/spyware 'Shh/Updater-B' has been detected in "C:\Program Files\Sophos\Sophos Anti-Virus\Web Intelligence\swi_update.exe". Cleanup unavailable. This is trickling in as alerts but at an alarming rate.

  • Even though it is somewhat comforting to see that we are not alone with this issue, having all of our AV protection be crippled at every workstation simultaneously does not help to dispel our vulnerability and rattled confidence.  The phone lines being down at both U.S. and U.K. as well - not good.  Of course when you e-mail your issue you get an auto-reply that says you can call if it is urgent.  NOT!!!

    Sophos, you went from being a faithful guardian to a reckless disaster in one fell swoop in our eyes.  Thanks for taking all of AV protection offline at once.

    And what is up with this reference to a virus that you have no info for?  Shh/Updater-B?  What's up with that?
