Sophos in Azure Virtual desktop - consuming server license

I have Sophos client installed in Azure Virtual Desktop environment on Windows 10 Enterprises version for virtual desktops. The licenses are taken from the server instead of endpoint. The installer used is the standard exe that is downloaded from the portal. Is this expected or can anyone explain why the license is been taken from Server instead of endpoint?

    Can you confirm if you're installing it using on-prem or Sophos central package? How many devices have been observed having this kind of behavior?
