Migration and upgrade at once? 4.5 -> 4.7

Hi All,

i'm halway through migrating our Sophos managment server to a dedicated VM, we are currently running on 4.5. I've just released this morning, that I have installed 4.7 on the new server ready to import the database and certifications as per the migration guide. Will there be any issues importing a 4.5 database etc onto a clean 4.7 build? Do I need to upgrade the existing server before the migration? (It is on a box that can't experience downtime during working hours, hence why the upgrade has not yet been completed)

Any advise would be greately received.

    The certificates registry keys must be imported before install (sections 6.1.1.) - but you've probably done this. You can restore a "previous" database to a later version of SEC (stop the Sophos services first) and upgrade it there. Depending what you've done before SEC might or might not (I assume the latter) upgrade the database automatically when you restart the services. If it does not (not corretly) use the UpgradeDB.exe tool.
